National Tests

The Pathfinder will be piloting the national literacy and numeracy tests with level 1 and 2 ESOL students using a range of models: the test preparation will be embedded in the existing ESOL provision, three-hour short courses will be available, thirty hour courses will be offered as additional provision and drop-in workshops will be set up. The courses will be piloting the recently developed ABSSU test preparation materials. The test results will be compared with learner results in other examinations, with Basic Skills learners' results and through qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
