A Liverpool Pathfinder project
The Liverpool Pathfinder has developed a range of materials to support embedding ESOL in a number of different courses:Beauty Therapy
This pack was developed for ESOL Entry 3 learners who are studying on beauty therapy courses. This pack will supplement the main course materials, ie. make-up, waxing, eyebrow shaping & tinting and facials. The worksheets are about the skin and skin types which is the underpinning knowledge of beauty therapy.

Working with Children NFCE Level 1
These materials support ESOL for ESOL students wanting a career in child care. They are mapped to the national core curriculum at level 1. The course offers basic training for potential childcare workers. It promotes good practice and knowledge and is a foundation on which to develop further training. The course has practical, theory and work based learning as part of the programme.The course was a 30 hour programme NFCE accredited.

It allows the learner to explore own visual culture and the visual culture of others.The course covers new craft skills, craft in other cultures, health and safety, use of equipment, organisation and planning.The course and materials are mapped to the national core curriculum at entry level 3 and is a 30 hour programme.

These materials support ESOL for ESOL students wanting a career in Motor Vehicle. They are mapped to the national core curriculum at entry level 3. This course is the first of two modules offering basic skills in vehicle maintenance of cars. The course covers aspects such as changing a tyre and windscreen wipers, oil check, checking lights and health and safety issues.The course was a 30 hour programme and when the two modules are completed students can submit for Edexel accreditation.
