A South Thames ESOL Pathfinder Project

Aims
Investigation of delivery in 8 days of basic English accredited by Pitman's certificate in Basic Spoken English delivered by South Thames College's partner IMG, at Eurotower government reception centre for asylum seekers awaiting dispersal.

The project aimed to investigate how ESOL operates in different settings. A meeting was arranged with staff at the centre and a briefing sheet on the project was discussed. Staff were keen to take part and produced a report on their activities.
