Description

We are a work based training provider delivering ESOL provision for Job Centre Plus claimants in preparation for work. We are looking for ESOL teachers to deliver Skills for Life job focused ESOL to groups of learners from Below Entry to Level 1 in our modern centres. These positions would suit qualified ESOL teachers who have experience and success in delivering employability focused ESOL with practical job search and a track record of success in preparing learners for employment. There are currently three positions available based in Southall, Hayes and Uxbridge but a willingness to travel between centres and our others centres in West London would be desirable. Starts are immediate.

Personal Specifications

Requirements for Jobs  Qualified to deliver skills for life ESOL under SFA funding streams - DTLLS qualification (or working towards DTTLS) with a subject specialism in ESOL  Ability to deliver ESOL within the context of employability  Empathy with unemployed client group  A commitment to Equality of Opportunity  Good team worker  Capable of working independently  Methodical approach to paperwork and experience of goal setting for learners and reviewing learners progress  Experience of delivering ESOL skills for life training in a work based context  Experience of assessing learners for accredited qualifications (City and Guilds) Preferred Additional Qualities and Skills  Experience of differentiated teaching  Ability to integrate employability training into delivery  Enhanced CRB check  Willingness to work also (if required) in our other centres  Experience of delivering employability qualifications (ASDAN, City and Guilds) to ESOL learners

Pay, Conditions and hours of work

Permanent contracts 8 45 to 5 each weekday Pay; negotiable
