| Description | EMD UK Ltd, a private training provider based in West Yorkshire, is currently looking to attract Sessional Tutors in Skills for Life Literacy and Numeracy and Functional Skills Maths and English in the following regions: Yorkshire & Humber, West Midlands, East Midlands, the North West and the North East. Both community and workplace provision are available. Both long-term and short-term contracts are available. | ||||||||||
| Personal Specifications | Essential Criteria Knowledge and Understanding of Literacy/Numeracy standards Experience of teaching Key/Functional Skills and/or Skills for Life to young/adult learners An ability to use innovative and creative teaching and learning methods to help engage reluctant learners Excellent communication skills Good personal maths, English and ICT Skills at level 2 or above Self motivated and good time management skills Have an understanding of internal verification/moderation quality assurance processes Essential Qualifications Relevant English, maths and ICT qualifications at level 2 or above Working towards or have achieved a teaching qualification DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE Working towards or have achieved a Level 4/5 Subject Specialism in either Adult Literacy or Numeracy (Numeracy would be a distinct advantage) Desirable Criteria D34 or V1 qualification with experience of verification of Key/Functional Skills Good/Excellent ICT skills | ||||||||||
| Pay, Conditions and hours of work | A variety of salary and pay arrangements are available, including employed and freelance. A variety of hours are available, some include weekend and night shift working. Salary range £16-£25k pro rata. Part-time hourly paid £14-£22 per hour. | ||||||||||
