|Description||The Department of Applied Linguistics & Communication at Birkbeck College, University of London has an exciting opportunity for applicants with a strong track record and extensive experience in teaching and research in any aspect of TESOL and language teaching and learning. We are especially looking for candidates working in classroom–based research areas and professional development as well as • Classroom interaction • Learner corpus • Individual differences in language learning • Learner identity • ESP/EAP • Language Testing • Language socialization and language learning • Intercultural communication in language learning • Language learning outside the classroom Your main responsibilities will be leading the postgraduate programmes in TESOL and Language Teaching and supervising research students in these areas.|
|Personal Specifications||You will have a PhD and a proven record in research supervision, as well as experience in designing and managing postgraduate programmes. You will also be able to provide evidence of research publications in international refereed journals, and external research grant income and knowledge exchange. For the Senior Lectureship, the track record needs to be outstanding and the experience extensive.|
|Pay, Conditions and hours of work||Salary range: £39,958 rising to £55,652 per annum inclusive of London Allowance, initial salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.|
