| Personal Specifications | Are you experienced in teaching English (literacy) to adults in group settings? Do you have experience of teaching Functional Skills English and embedded delivery? Do you have a Level 5 specialist subject qualification in English (literacy) and a PGCE or DTTLS teaching qualification? Or are you willing to obtain one of these within the timescales specified in City Lit’s Staff Development Policy? If you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are able to work as part of a team and have an up to date knowledge, enthusiasm and interest in the subject; this role could be for you. A commitment to quality, heath and safety, equality and diversity, customer care and safeguarding are also essential. In this role you will be responsible for planning, teaching and evaluating an embedded English course that meets the learning needs of students in the programme area. | ||||||||||
| Pay, Conditions and hours of work | Mondays, 08/10/2012 to 11/02/2013 10.00–15.00; English and childcare £33.91 per hour, inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time | ||||||||||
