Thinking about how to develop your practice?

Looking for new direction?

The Institute of Education would like to invite you to consider the 'Foundation Degree': Professional Practice in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Specifically designed for those working in the Lifelong Learning Sector, this innovative programme is designed to allow colleagues to enhance their practice.  The course provides a thorough exploration of the current issues and concepts in the sector.  It builds on prior experiences and knowledge and encourages participants to investigate their own areas of interest.  It provides grounding in academic literature, theory and study and blends this with a practical approach that enables participants to develop their understanding and improve the quality of provision.

This Degree leads on to a ‘top up’ programme that is enabling colleagues to achieve a BEd / BA Education (Honours) whilst they work.  Many of the participants who have completed the Foundation Degree have chosen to pursue this pathway.

In the National Student Survey for 2010, the IOE achieved 1st place for student satisfaction in London.  We are confident that you will get the support and encouragement that you need to be successful.

You may know of a colleague who would enjoy and benefit from this programme.  Please pass this information on to them.

The next cohort will begin in September 2012 and attendance will be on Tuesday evenings.
